Arran Distillery Celebrates 10th Birthday
ISLE OF ARRAN DISTILLERS
In 1995, a man’s dream became reality when Isle of Arran Distillers commenced production. At 2.29pm on 29 June the stills were put into action. With the golden eagles (who nest nearby) flying overhead, the first Arran spirit to be legally produced on the island for over 150 years was taken from the stills of this brand new distillery.
At 8.45am on Friday 10 February 2006, the bottling line was started for the Arran 10 Years Old Single Malt. The bottle, label and carton were conceptualised and designed by Craig Mackinlay, founder of Breeze Creative. Unique to the distillery, the embellished bottle features the 2 golden eagles who fly above the distillery on a fine day, plus the wording ‘the true spirit of nature’. The carton features stunning photographs of Arran – the island known to be ‘Scotland in miniature’.
Arran 10 Years Old is available across the globe, with a UK RRP £25.99, and can also be purchased in the Distillery’s fantastic Visitor Centre.
