Tonic for even the weariest of souls
MORRISON BOWMORE DISTILLERS LTD
Weary creatives across Scotland could soon be heading to the Hebridean Isle of Islay to Bowmore Distillery, the oldest of the island’s 8 distilleries. Not only the home of the sumptuous Bowmore whisky, the distillery has now made available to the public its 5 gorgeous distillery cottages, each uniquely and lovingly furnished, and offering for accommodation from 1 to 12.
Whilst whisky production is key to the island’s economic stability, tourism is also important to Islay and visitors are attracted from across the globe, not only to try out a wee dram, but also to marvel at the variety of wildlife on the island and participate in various sporting activities across Islay. Glen Moore, Bowmore Brand Director commented “Islay has so much to offer everyone and it is great that we are now able offer first-class accommodation which caters for all needs”
Craig Mackinlay of Breeze Creative who designed the brochures and press ads for the Bowmore Cottages waxes lyrical about the place “ On arriving at Bowmore Distillery, your senses will immediately spring to life. Breathe in the fresh Atlantic sea air, mixed with the subtle, but indicative smell that whisky is being distilled close by. Listen to the sound of the gulls and the water lapping on the beach below. Let your eyes drink in the amazing view across the loch…
He also commented that having worked so closely on the Bowmore brand for over 16 years, it was really refreshing being able to bring the distillery and the cottages alive for the public.
